Finding people who can readily and quickly step into interim roles is not easy.
They need a relevant background, strong people skills, an ability to hit the ground running and to have the flexibility to adapt to different working cultures and styles. With thirty years of voluntary sector experience in fundraising, general operations and as a CEO, db associates can fulfil all these criteria.
St John's Hospice
St John's Hospice is the charitable beneficiary of St John's & St Elizabeth's Hospital. David served in an interim position there for five months and helped recruit the new permanent Head of Fundraising.
'David is the dream consultant; he is an expert in his field, he has an enviable network, he delivers on output, and he does it all with good humour. As a client, I learnt a lot from him and am incredibly thankful for his time, patience, and the work he delivered.' Victoria Hatcher, Director of Marketing, Brand & Fundraising, St John's & St Elizabeth's Hospital.
Pro Bono Economics
Pro Bono Economics is a specialist niche charity that matches volunteer economists with social sector organisations to help them understand and improve their impact and value. After their previous fundraiser left, they needed someone to manage their income generation function and to lead on the recruitment of the new post holder.
"David settled in quickly with the team and led on the production of several large funding bids with trust and foundations. He also identified strategic opportunities with the corporate sector and opened doors with potential company supporters. His background meant that he could also offer insights into other aspects of our work.
In addition to helping us secure a new Director, David drafted an income generation strategy for Pro Bono Economics, so we effectively had a consultant and a member of the team at the same time."
